Sammy’s Sammich Shoppe is a small deli and sandwich shop in Bend, Oregon. In an alternate reality where COVID-19 isn’t a thing, they have recently started hosting open mic nights and local bands. Last month’s battle of the bands drew a pretty big crowd, and the winners (Slogans for Sloths) got nearly 50,000 YouTube views on their new hit single, “Crossing the Autobahn.”
In two weeks, they will host their first comedy night. The headliner is Rachel Sanderson, a California comedian that is quickly rising on the comedy club scene.
They have two few local comedians who want in (John Sanchez, Alliah Nasoor), but there are still three openings for anyone wanting to do a tight-five for an audience (pay: two drinks and an appetizer on the night of the event).
