Aanarchists for Aardvarks

Aanarchists for Aardvarks (Aanvarks for short) is a local advocacy group supporting wildlife in Africa, most notably the noble aardvark. They feel that all forms of human government (and, indeed, any organization of people larger than a village of eighty or ninety individuals) have existed at the expense of other living creatures. While they raise money for wildlife rehabilitation centers in Africa, they also act locally by actively undermining all systems of authority they encounter.

This coming Thursday, they will be hosting a fundraiser luncheon in Smith Johnson Park. They will not be getting a permit first, and Claire Johannes, the event organizer, is really hoping that the gazebo isn’t already reserved.

Anyone attending the luncheon is encouraged to donate $5. The Aanvarks will donate 100% of the proceeds to the Sudanese Aardvark Conservation Effort. While anyone can certainly have a bologna sandwich without donating (the Aanvarks aren’t gatekeepers, man), they would appreciate as few moochers as possible.

Claire Johannes has been organizing the event on Facebook, but she can also be DM’d about it on Twitter @Claire_Hearts_Varks.
